Half Life 2 Episode 2 console problem.............

Everytime I enter the console, it looks like it works normal. Now when I enter ''noclip'' or ''god'', niether of them work. It will just go up into the console and will not say that these codes are activated. Can anyone help me with this?Half Life 2 Episode 2 console problem.............

On the same note, I believe there's a configuration file with the extension .cfg you can edit with a text editor of your choosing and input that very same line into to have it automatically enabled upon game startup or something, though the name of this file escapes me at the moment as I don't have HL2 installed currently. I think it's the same file that has the configuration for all the key bindings. Works for HL2 and HL2ep1 when I tried it, I would think the same trick would work for HL2ep2.You could probably Google search for the name of this file easily. Good luck.
