This game has consumed us. Though tommorow you and I will be playing this DEMO by ourselfs alot.Comments and opinionsCrysis is Really consuming US pc gameers
Well I built my PC for Bioshock, Unreal Tournament III, Call of Duty 4, Gears of War, and all the other great games coming out in the future along with the games I already have. I didn't build it just for Crysis.Crysis is Really consuming US pc gameers
The only problem with crysis is why everyone and their brother thinks they should be able to max out a state of the art game with a 3 year old graphics card which most people have. Why do they have these. Well three years ago a little game called half life 2 came out. Also doom 3 and a lil later Fear. Well everyone upgraded for those games and now its time to upgrade and they are b!tching..? THis has always confused me and is the only argument among gamers with this game right now. Instead of b!tching just upgrade as we as pc gamers need to do frequently anyway and play it in all its incredible glory!
I built a new PC because it had an oldass 6600GT and a P4 processor with only 1GB memory. And tbh, i am more excited for The Witcher now than I am for Crysis.
well alot of companys got riding on this game, intel microsoft, nvidia.... and it worked, intel sold alotof quad cores, microsoft sold vista for dx10, and nvidia with the dx10 cards.

Whenever I play an RPG I save before a choice and try all the options, I can't constrain myself and it sort of ruins it

I built mine for about 20 upcoming games , Crysis was just the benchmark title.
I built my PC for FSX.
well the problem is that it has been more than a year that a new high end graphics card has been introduced, that is why i believe crysis wont be maxed by anyone.BTW LTZH how does your rig perform in fsx, people seem to complain a lot about it.
I built mines for Pangya.
Well, going by what Cevat Yerli said, those of us with the high end DX10 cards and good processors should be able to max it out completely and run it smoothly. I'm really excited for this too, and i've seen some screenshots of the demo from other forums. It looks absolutely amazing, even just on medium quality. Better than ANY game on its highest settings. But i've also been reading stories about how badly optimized the demo is and how crappy it runs. It's definitely something to think about. Yerli stated that they optimized the actual game really well, so i'm sure that the demo isn't much of an indicator as to how well the actual game will run.In the end, i'm sure those of us with 8800GTS 320/640 or 8800GTX will be able to run the game at least on ''High'' settings. Whether we'll actually be able to run it on ''Very High'' settings is yet to be seen.
I would be more impressed with Crysis if not a single person could play the game at high settings! If crysis was built to take advantage of computer hardware that didn't even exist, this would drive the upgrade cycle and accelerate the pace of technological improvement in computer hardware. This is what makes PC gaming great, it is always improving. If developers created games that max out using 2 year old video cards, then no one would bother upgrading... ever.If this was the case with PC gaming I would sayF it, I am playing console gamesexclusively from now on.
Really I bought a new PC for soo much more reasons: Kane %26 Lynch, Crysis of course too, UT3, Hellgate: London, Assasin's Creed and World in Conflict.. And I think I forgot some ...
Built for HL2 and Oblivion. My next build will be for fallout 3.

[/QUOTE]Yeah i agree, and i would like to add, that games like Quake 4 and Doom 3 were verry demanding, even today when i can max out Rainbow Six Vegas,Colin McraeDirtand those new ''graphicaly nice looking games'' i cant max out Quake 4.I think that those new games are just eye candies, but crysis is meant to take graphics to next level. I hope they will do that and make something like ULTRA MEGA NEVER SEEN BEFORE option with verry verry demanding and good graphics :P
How can you max out R6 Vegas but not Quake 4? Quake 4 uses the Doom3 Engine. If you can max R6 Vegas you can max Quake 4 without any hint of a hitch.
useless thread ftl lol

Is the demo out already? Is it any good?I am far too busy with TF2 to even care about crysis right now, and tomorrow my copy of the witcher should come...I think I might even skip the demo, seeing as how the game is only a couple weeks off now anyway.Hardware-wise, I'm still using the same rig I built late 2005 for F.E.A.R - besides the 8800gts I got for the UE3 games like bioshock and airborne. Crysis is on my pre-order list and i'm excited for the editor if nothing else, but it just doesn't strike me as seeming like all that greata game. Will be glad once it's out, though, so we can as a community move past it...
