Asking here since you guys are already playing it...So, what card would you guys recommend to play Crysis with maxed out settings?
im running on a 7800 gs with med specs but this games is designed for a 8 series card so 8800 or ati 2900So, what card would you guys recommend to play Crysis with maxed out settings?
I am looking at the new 8800GT cards coming out soon, i'll have to wait and see some benchies after release to decide if I will buy or not but the previews of it are looking awesome. w/ my Q6600 and 7600GT I get Med, 1 set on high on 1024 x768, it still looks good but of coures I want to max it out soon.
Posting so I can see bignice's post... Darn glitchspot.
bump
I have an x1900xtx and I can play on medium with only the water turned on high. My gpu is one of the best dx9-only gpu's, so it's rather depressing. I'm selling it on ebay right now and I plan on picking up an 8800gt when they launch this coming Monday. To run the game on high, I think an 8800gt/gts is the bare minimum.
Max everythinig DX10 with really good FPS? SLI some 8800ultras.For high settings a single 8800gts should be good.

God... PC gaming's getting really expensive... :P
I hope my 8800 GTX is capable of running it fairly maxed out. My AMD x2 4200 OC'd to 2,6 is what I'm most worried about, Intels crush my CPU in performance... It's pretty clear when I play Gothic 3. A great CPU is alpha and omega when it comes to 8800 GTX. Anyone tried this game with an AMD and a GTX?
I tried the demo and played fine with 1152x864 resolution with all graphic settings on High and AA4x. But I got a single core amd athlon 64 3200+ processor, and that was what made the game lag when something massive happened.

Could stand to turn a thing or two down.
specs in sig only change is that the 2900pro is oced to 800/900 1280-1024 dx9 everything high average 25-30fps (using fraps)playable but i would like it to be smoother.

Instead of the GTX, I'm using GTS 640MB.
