er what exactly is postprocesing in games setting?

MOHA, COD4, CRYSIS all has it... i'm not too sure what that is... will setting it from med to high cos a big drop in fps?er what exactly is postprocesing in games setting?
Post processing usually means things like HDR, Bloom, Motion Blur, Depth of Field along with some games having those yellow colored filters. In general yes it will hurt performance quite a bit, but it depends on the game and how different med is to high. er what exactly is postprocesing in games setting?

in crysis's case its depth of field, motion blur, glow effect, sun shafts, flares and a few other things. Not sure about other games but it should be fairly similar.
