BUMP.So, is this enough to get high on Crysis and max out Gears of War?
Forget about Crysis. Gears will be close to max and be a better visual experience then Crysis.
it's probably good to max out Gears of War, idk about Crysis

Crysis?? no way with that CPU
Hes using a 22 inch monitor which Im sure is 1680x1050 or something like that and to get that visual quality the frames per sec will be really bad. Trust me I know I tryed the demo and it was dissapointment.
Your cpu is fine don't listen to them at that res the majority of the work rests on the graphics card.
there is a sticker on top of the page here for ''can i run this'' questions
Dont know about Crysis, but Gears you should max out, xbox 360 which uses a far less gpu and cpu plays it phenomenly, and for dayacus there is nothing wrong with his CPU its fine.
Crysis?? no way with that CPU
lol sure it can, my cpu is Athlon 3500+ and it run very smoothly, but the resolution was 1280x1024.
Damn man, The girl in your sig and user icon is HOT! Who is she? BACK TO TOPIC - Yeah the GFX is pretty good but you should do something about your CPU.
By the time the game goes gold you should be fine to run crysis on HIGH and gears on close to max.
8800 GTS does Cryis on High just fine. Dunno about that CPU though...Crysis is definitely CPU-bound on high settings.

I have a 8800 Ultral 720mb, an E6850 core 2 duo and 4 gigs of ddr2 1066 ram. I've played the demo and this was the first game on this rig that chugged on high settings. I'm guessing that you will need a core 2 extreme to play this game on max settings flawlessly, considering my card is the best their is.

My suggestion is to OC your CPU as much as you can. The game definitely responds pretty well to it.
Someone said that the demo wasn't multithreaded so C2D and quads aren't being taken advantage of and it doesn't support Crossfire/SLi either.
