sometimes u can get double the fps on games but most of the time its 70-90% gainQuestion about SLI pertaining to games..
Typically between 30 and 80% increase. Never a 100% increase.
Yeah these are all text book answers thats I have heard before.. But I have seen many older reviews saying that they do not know how the 320mb will handle newer games.. My question is, is that the case for the newer games such as Bioshock, Crysis, etc etc?
Honestly, SLI is a waste of money unless you plan to get the second card once prices have dropped a lot. I have 8800gts 640 meg cards in SLI, and frankly most games don't even use them properly. It's because SLI configurations are the rarest you will find, so the support just really isn't there. I am actually going to be selling one of my cards on ebay, and upgrading my C2D to a quad, and getting another 2 gigs of ram :PThen next year, when the 9 series comes out... ill just pick up their performance version then. IMO $350 now, and then $350 a year from now - (money you make back from selling your old one on ebay) is better then $700 now and seeing little performance gain. I believe the same concept applies with GTXs and Ultras. My my 2 cents tho.
