Who else is waiting a year or so to buy this one? I'd rather play it later for $20, with an upgraded computer then pay $50+ for it now and play on Medium settings.So...Crysis...

definitely this game is not on my Christmas list. Will wait at least 7 months before THINKING of buying it.
I'm definetly waiting to play this game...Only because i have no money for a good computer though :P
Well i'm buying it on day one... My goal is to overclock my cpu before november 16th... It's an athlon 64 x2 4200 (2.2ghtz)... I have to push to 2.6 or 2.7 and I should be good... If anyone has good links for overclocking please let me know... Is clockgen any good?(idont have the Am2 socket, the one right before that one, don't really remember the name something with a nine...)hopefully the rest will be ok... 3gigs of ram, 8800 gts 320mb ... ( i know i should have got the 640mb...)
buying it day 0, it runs well mostly high settings. Game is very tweakable. I'd still play this game on low to med settings, its just that awesome.
All i need to buy is an 8800GT and im ready to play this game

Try a 3 year old computer built for HL2 (2004) and Im playing it on low, and some medium, and im not bellyaching.
What's wrong with medium settings? They look pretty damn good compared to medium settings in most games. I mean you're going to upgrade your computer someday anyway, so why wait to play the game over graphics alone? It'd be one thing if you had to play it on all low settings, 800x600 just to get somewhat acceptable frames. But holding out because you're not satisfied with not being able to play the game on high or better graphics settings? Isn't that a bit much?Anyway, I've already preordered the game.
I'm waiting but only a couple months

I wish i'd be bellyaching but im not... simply frustrated I can't have it on high/med setting on high resolutions... which I hope to get with this overclocking...
I won't be buying Crysis until i upgrade my PC which won't be for a good few months atleast since i can't afford to purchase a new GFX card and i don't really feel like going into my overdraft to upgrade just so i can play the one extra game. With the likes of CoD4, UT3, GoW, Assassin's Creed, Clive Barker's Jericho, Blacksite: Area 51, Kane %26 Lynch etc being released within the next month or so i'll be spending most of my money on games my current system can run decently.
im just going to get a 9xxx series when it comes out and then play crysis with that.
Can't wait, the engine is groundbreaking and the gameplay is great
It's ok... wasn't as big as I spected. The demo felt good, but didnt catch me. Might be because I'm too deep into the Witcher now... But it does feel like a good game, thou not the bomb ppl said it would be.
Single player is great and I will be getting this title...It's good..However, it's time for a new pc.....My poor old amd64 and ati x800gto chugs along with the on med/low setting during the intense battles...It still was a great demo and I'm sure the full game will be the same....
i could complain...but the game looks pretty good on low settings. ill leave the rest to the gameplay. performance not that much of an issue here imo, ill get it asap too
my pc can run it fine on medium settings, but I have trouble paying full price for a game I cant play at its best. I know that is my comps fault and not the companys. The game play is great though, almost worth the full price. Still gonna wait for it though till my pc is better, there is enough good games coming out soon (console and pc) to fill in for crysis.
The difference between medium and high is signifigant... with medium you lose motion blur, HDR, lotsa post-processing effects, etc. On medium it barely looks better than Far Cry. My advice: if you can't run it on High don't buy it.
After playing the demo, I kind of lost interest.
