So is anyone building a pc for games other than Crysis?

Seriously, it seems that people blindly go and build a pc just because Crysis is ''the best looking game''. Am I the only one looking at other games than Crysis? PC is turning into a console, and it is not good. Then, after people build their pc's and run the Crysis demo they freak out because they can't run Crysis max at insane resolutions with insane amounts of AA/AF. FYI: Your PC isn't useless just because you can't run ONE game with the highest settings. I think I am going to be sick.So is anyone building a pc for games other than Crysis?
I built my PC for all the upcoming titles. So is anyone building a pc for games other than Crysis?
I built my PC for all the upcoming titles.
It's good to see someone is building their pc for games other than Crysis.
I'm upgrading more for World in Conflict and finally being able to max out CoH and FEAR as well as Crysis. I've also decided to pick up UT3 and COD4 for the PC rather than my consoles as well, so I figure the extra power will be put to good use. Mostly, I just like the idea of having two GPUs in my rig - gets me all geeky inside.
I built my pc game with crysis in mind because it's the most demanding game that's coming out. That doesn't mean i got the computer soley for that game though. I got it for all UE3 games as well, and any other new game that I want that was not able to run on my old computer.
I built my PC for all the upcoming titles.
I think pretty much everybody that built a new PC did. Why would you drop all that money for one game? I haven't seen 1 person that did it just for Crysis alone.
im building a new pc just cuz the one i have now is getting old, and im ready to make the jump to vista, by early next year ill have a decent amount of cash and things will get cheaper, i have like $800 so far, im on my way to glory ^_^
Build for the most demanding game then you are good for everything, it's not rocket science.
Being that my current rig is over 3 years old, I am tempted to build a new one now. But Crysis actually doesn't look too shabby on it, despite me playing the demo on medium to low settings. The only lag I experienced was not with graphics but with some keystrokes.Looking on the horizon, I don't see any major titles coming out after Crysis for a very long time, at least none that interest me much. So I'm now talking myself out of building a new pc just for Crysis. Especially since my current one meets/exceeds all my other needs. If there were more good games coming, then it would be no question. But unlike the old days, good major titles are few and far in between.
To be honest, I couldn't be bothered with Crysis. It's another FPS with sugar on top. UT3 for me and besides my rig has been updated early this year.
is there a new splinter cell coming out or something?
I'm not building a PC centered around Crysis,i'm building one for Medieval 2 + Kingdoms and a few other games.

I'm sure that's what most people do.

Ye they say they are building it for Crysis but surely they aren't going to constrain themselves to one game. Therefore they are upgrading for all games :)
Crysis was one of the reasons for building my PC but im also looking foward to COD4 and Gears of War.
