is that with high setting? cause with your setup I would advise you to play on mediumis this the best performance i will get out of crysis?

Dunno what you guys are complaining about tbh because this game has been made to say this is only going to be taken advantage from the next generation of GPU's. I mean the 8800 series and the 2900 series are both pointless because they're dated and yet no DX10 games were during most of their life and now the new 9xxx and the 3xxx series of cards comes out very shortly, whats when we'll see Crysis running smoothly. Myself i don't have any problems...

Running the game maxed out for XP (seeing as the DX10 settings are not enabled) at my 1600 x 1200 res and i'm getting about 25FPS which is good enough for me on the single player. I've looked at the DX10 version maxed and tbh theres not alot of difference so i'm happy for the time being.

Thankfully this is not the full game so it can only get better...hopefully. You have themost recent drivers btw?

I got around 60 on medium. I had AA off.8800GTS 3202 gigs ramintel core 2 duoIt ran it like a champ until I got to the blockade part.
Better than how I ran the beta. I ran the beta like ass.
i dont know what you guys are doing to get such bad performancei used a 8400gs ( its actually weaker than 7300gt) and i played on medium (shadows on low, water on very high, physis on very high) and i played with 15-20 fps according to fraps. This was at 720p res too and my video card isnt even made for games. Yes i overclocked it a lot but it still shouldnt be like that for you guys. One thing i noticed, when i set all settings to low and select the lowest res i only get 28-35fps. When i bump up the setting significantly my performance doesnt go down that much.
such is the price of a game with graphics like this. if you honestly thought you'd get even decent frame rate on a dated system then I pity you =P seriously, I mean LOOK at this game. if you were planning to play it, then you needed to upgrade. that's what quite a bit of people seem to have done based on what I've seen locally and online and such. you can't honestly expect it to run on anything less than a mid-range machine at all, much less with a decent frame rate. honestly, looking at your system, I would imagine a beefier video card would do the trick, as your processor and ram are comparable to what I'm running. the video card, however, is rather out of date....a lot =P and crysis is almost guaranteed to make most video cards cry to their mommies.
thats why i purchased a 8400gs because i new that the current top of the line video cards were too weak and i just put this crappy 8400 card to last me until the new ati/nvida cards come out
