Crysis Demo Is A Let Down

Its a poor Farcry with better graphics that runs like crap. I like the idea of the suit but thats it, Its almost a farcry clone such as the jeeps and boats. They did a poor job optimizing the game to run on 2-3 years old Pc's as they said it would run good. Yes its good pushing the graphics to the edge but not optimizing the best you can and promised is just not right. And Ive have the beta driver.Crysis Demo Is A Let Down
All I can tell you is install the latest drivers, which you probably already did. I dont have your issues with the graphics, but it feels basically like Farcry, which I despised. I wasn't expecting anything more than better graphics, and that's what I got.
Remember when that one Farcry was released and there was no card on teh market that could actually run it on max? I'm guessing Crysis is the same story. And just btw mine looks better than yours (looking at the pic), and I'm running it on medium settings with an 8600GT.
I totally agree btw what are your system specs? My PC exceeds the minimum requirements and runs poorly.AMD single core 3800+ @ 2.67GHz1024MB RAMGeforce 7600GT 600/1580 (which is around 30% faster then the minimum 6800GT required to run this game)@ 1024x768 I get 15 fps average on low settings@800x600 I get 25 fps average
Game runs fine for me. I just dislike how bland the combat feels. Definitely an EA game. All the supposed emphasis on bullets interacting realistically with everything was total BS.

Ithink it's a waste to launch a game no pc can max out because by the stime they can the game looks old anyways. Crysis problems are optimization atm though because the demo doesn't run that well on many systems, specially Vista 64.
I think the game play is much better than Far Cry and the graphic is amazing. I've played it at 1280x1024 and high settings(max for XP) with 27fps averange
